ABOUT US

A school is an institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments.

A school is an institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments for the teaching of students (or "pupils") under the direction of teachers. Most countries have systems of formal education, which is commonly compulsory. In these systems, students progress through a series of schools. The names for these schools vary by country (discussed in the Regional section below) but generally include primary school for young children and secondary school for teenagers who have completed primary education. An institution where higher education is taught is commonly called a university college or university. In addition to these core schools, students in a given country may also attend schools before and after primary and secondary education. Kindergarten or pre-school provide some schooling to very young children. University, vocational school, college or seminary may be available after secondary school. A school may be dedicated to one particular field, such as a school of economics or a school of dance. Alternative schools may provide nontraditional curriculum and methods. Schools are commonly organized in several different organizational models, including departmental, small learning communities, academies, integrated, and schools-within-a-school.

Gandhi High School is started in the year 1969. It is a private, unaided, minority running English Medium School recognized under the M.P. Board of Secondary Education Bhopal (M.P.) under the general management of the Catholic Diocese of Satna registered under the M.P. society, registration Act 1964 (Reg. No 3276 of 28/04/1973). It is locally run by St. Thomas church, Sushi, in collaboration with Rev. Sisters of Franciscan Clarist Congregation, Amala province, Bhopal (M.P.) The school bears the name Gandhi High School because the management wanted to have a fitting memorial for the centenary year to remember Gandhi’s High ideals of Satyagraha, non-violence, brotherhood, tolerance, and Swaraj.

About Teacher

A teacher is a person who helps others to acquire knowledge, competences or values.Informally the role of teacher may be taken on by anyone. In some countries, teaching young people of school age may be carried out in an informal setting, such as within the family, rather than in a formal setting such as a school or college. Some other professions may involve a significant amount of teaching. In most countries, formal teaching is usually carried out by paid professional teachers. This article focuses on those who are employed, as their main role, to teach others in a formal education context, such as at a school or other place of initial formal education or training.

Infrastructure

The children enjoy a beautifully manicured, Wi-Fi enabled campus, meticulously maintained playing-fields and sporting facilities, fully-air-conditioned classrooms and conference halls with well-equipped libraries, hi-tech laboratories, carefully thought out residential accommodation and an exclusive dining experience. GHS boasts of the most advanced infrastructure. The campus has several playing fields interspersed with grassy knolls, beautiful gardens and tree-lined avenues. Thoughtfully designed all facilities in the school are within close walking distance.

Facility

We offer an academic, sporting, co-curricular and personal development programme that affords students every opportunity to grow in knowledge, self-confidence, skill and understanding.
Each classroom houses a large area and is designed such that every student gets the teacher’s maximum individual attention. There are 50 classrooms for regular teaching and a number of other rooms like the Audio-Visual room and Resource room to facilitate better learning.

Extra Activity

An extracurricular activity can be almost anything that isn’t required for high school credit or paid employment. These activities will become very important later, such as when you are applying to colleges, because they help you develop your talents, interests, and passions. They can also teach you practical skills like time management. Some of the activities are:
• Debate
• Drama
• Sports etc.
